Adrenal Disorders
Cortisol • Addison Disease • Cushing Syndrome • Adrenal Tumours • Aldosterone & Adrenal Hormones
The adrenal glands are small glands located above the kidneys, but they produce hormones that are essential for blood pressure, metabolism, stress responses, salt and water balance, and many other functions.
Adrenal disorders can occur when the body produces too much or too little of an adrenal hormone, or when a growth or tumour develops in an adrenal gland.
